AUSTRALIANS THROW OUT 6 TONNES OF FASHION WASTE EVERY 10 MINUTES

KOKYKAI is a business dream created by two friends who wanted to be on the side of making the world a better place :) Kai has been in the fashion industry since high school, graduating with a fashion degree in 2020 and working for some of Melbourne’s biggest fashion brands. Koky has his own fashion brand focused on upcycling waste for over 10 years. Together we have always loved the idea of turning someone else’s waste into something beautiful. Our story is unfolding... but we now have a goal of upcycling one tonne of fashion waste! Help us get there as we contniue transforming waste into unique, beautiful and into some of the coolest handbags in Melbourne fashion town.

KOKYKAI products are ethically made by our own production team

in Cambodia and by us in Melbourne. They are made from fabrics and textiles

that people throw away, don’t want anymore, or donate to us.

So far we have achieved

- We have already upcycled 100kgs of fashion waste!

- Our next goal is to upcycle ONE TONNE and continue to bring to life some special looking handbags!

A BOND BETWEEN FRIENDS

The friendship between each other with shared passions can forge unbreakable bonds. Their mutual love for cleaning up the world created “kokykai,” a heartfelt mission aimed at saving the environment. This bond is not just about friendship; it's a testament to the belief that together, we can create a cleaner and greener world.

Koky means Tree and Kai means Ocean.
